Proudly standing on the shores of the scenic Bosphorus – the storied strait that links Europe and Asia – our lovingly restored, 19th-century Ottoman palace brings together Istanbul’s ancient architecture, warm Turkish hospitality and contemporary accommodations. Relax in one of our traditional hammams, spend an afternoon lounging around our outdoor pool, and savour Anatolian delicacies as you admire the soaring minarets and towers of the city’s inimitable waterfront skyline. We’ll show you a seldom-seen side of Istanbul during your stay with us.
Fronting the hotel is a delightful broad terrace, complete with grandiose fountain and plenty of seating. From here guests can admire the stunning views across the Bosphorus strait to the hills of Asia, a little over half a mile in the distance. Late-Ottoman-era architecture, under the influence of the European Baroque and Rococo styles, tends to be ostentatious, but a glance back from the terrace at the façade of Four Seasons reveals a pleasingly restrained, elegantly symmetrical Neoclassical façade designed to be seen at its best advantage from the water. The rooms are equally elegant and have been beautifully preserved and renovated under the auspices of the highly regarded Sinan Kafadar. Two stylish modern buildings, built behind and at right angles to the ‘Palace’, form the remainder of the accommodation
